Ascending Har HaBayit
Picture taken by Rav Hagai Yekutiel. This path is accepted by those ascending the Temple Mount according to the central opinions specifying the placement of the Mikdash. Hundreds of Talmidei Chachamim and Rosh Yeshivas have already walked there. Those who follow the following instructions may fulfill the mitzvah of ascending the Temple Mount without halachic problems.
BEFORE ENTERING one must immerse in a kosher mikvah, wear cloth shoes, and know exactly where one is allowed to walk. (Before immersing, one should should shower, thoroughly wash one's hair, and remove all barriers.)

It says in the Torah, (Vayikra 19:30) "You shall keep My Shabbatot and reverence My Sanctuary." From here, our Sages learned that the mitzvah of revering this holy site applies even when the Beit HaMikdash is in ruins.
Gathering en masse to arouse consciousness among the People,
its rabbis, and its leaders to rebuild the Beit HaMikdash
and return the Kohanim to their Service
