Fellow Builders of the Beit HaMikdash,
In vol. 1, issue 15, I promised to keep you, the readers, up to date about my appeal against the Ministry of the Interior's refusal to grant me citizenship because I was arrested for attempting to make a minyan on the Temple Mount. THEY GAVE IN, and they told my lawyer I should go there with my original request and two photos, and I will receive a Te'udat Zehut (identity card). I really appreciate all of you who have given me words of encouragement.
As I have mentioned in the past, the true celebration of Sukkot, as well as the two other pilgrimage festivals, is to rejoice before G-d in the Beit HaMikdash and offer sacrifices of celebration to our Creator. Unfortunately, as I write this, the Beit HaMikdash is in ruins, with profane people building illegal, abominable, unesthetic structures, desecrating the place by picnicking and playing soccer and volleyball, and bringing in sparsely clothed tourists, while those who ascend in purity and respect the sanctity of our Holy Place are carefully guarded so they will not, heaven forbid, utter a prayer. (I saw this myself.) Although we main not enter the central area where the Beit HaMikdash stood, as we are in a state of defilement without the ashes of the Red Heifer to perform the sprinkling of purification, it is extremely important to do what we can. Therefore, it is important to reassert our attachment, dedication, and reverence to the Temple Mount and to commemorate the "Aliyah LaRegel" (pilgrimage to the Temple) by ascending the Temple Mount on Sukkot, in accordance with Halachah. As stated in article number 3, the Lubavitcher Rebbe ztl encouraged his followers to celebrate Sukkot by dancing on the Temple Mount, and said, "By doing this, may we merit to dance in Jerusalem, in the Third Beit HaMikdash."
Since it is strictly prohibited to enter the Temple Area in our current state of defilement (and much of the permissible areas require immersion in a mikvah), and the halachot (laws) about ascending the Temple Mount are complex, it is recommended to go up the first time with someone who knows where to walk and where not to walk. If you would like to arrange a guided ascent, please email me at yirmi@shani.net. Also, if you have any halachic questions, I will be happy to forward them to the Rav of the Tenu'ah.
Additionally, I also request that those of you who do go up to the Temple Mount keep me informed so that we may reinforce our attachment to the Holy Area by publicizing the multitude of Jews who do ascend in purity.
May we be worthy to merit the rebuilding of the Beit HaMikdash.
Chag sameach,
yirmi

"And they shall make me a Mikdash ..." (Shmot 25:8) This is a command to Moshe in the Wilderness, and subsequently for the Tabernacle in Shilo, and subsequently to build "A House to G-d", the First, Second, and Third Beit HaMikdash.
(Sichah, Parshat Trumah 5750 -- 1990 ce)
Furthermore, and this is the main point, regarding the appropriate time for building the Third Beit HaMikdash, the straightforward understanding is that after all the interpretations of "And they shall make me a Sanctuary and I will dwell among them" (Shmot 25:8), i.e. amongst each individual -- the Torah does not lose its straightforward meaning.
First and foremost, regarding the practical halachah, it is an obligation on all Jews to rebuild the Beit HaMikdash, and concerning us, it is to build the Third Beit HaMikdash. That is what is meant.
(Sichah, Parshat Trumah 5752 -- 1992 ce)
We should hold the largest "Simchat Beit HaShoeva" (rejoicing of the water drawing) and enter the Place of the Mikdash -- in the permissible areas -- and hold there the biggest "Simchat Beit HaShoeva" -- in the greatest perfection.
By doing this, may we merit to dance in Jerusalem, in the Third Beit HaMikdash.
(Sichah, Sukkot 5751 -- 1990 ce)
(the day before the stoning at the Western Wall)
Lately, people have started to interpret the verse, "The nations are in uproar and, the Peoples mutter vainly" -- the the Jews will hand over the place of the Mikdash -- the Holy of Holies. This is really on Hashem and His Mashiach!
This is real chutzpah! Not only Hevron, Shchem, and the Old City of Jerusalem, but the place of the Holy of Holies, the Foundation Stone, etc. -- to hand over to gentiles?
(Rosh Chodesh Iyar 5736 -- 1976 ce)
